07/22/2004: "The Lion Sleeps Tonight?"

The estate of the author of what has turned into the montrosity known as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" is suing Disney for copyright infringement.

My sincere hope is that that everyone who has perpetuated that "song" is heavily fined and/or executed. That "song" is, and has been, a crime against humanity for a very, very long time.

Even They Might Be Giants have stolen from it, but of course "The Guitar" is a bit different than the usual version.

I hate the song because it's tripe.
