Parallel Parking Game
This "game" is kinda neat/silly, but it could help one get a better grasp on Parallel Parking (requires Flash).

Come to the Firefox, It's Del.icio.us!
Once again, I'm kicking myself for not following Andrew's advice/recommendations sooner.
What was it this time? Firefox... and del.icio.us. Firefox is the next generation browser from the fine, upstanding individuals from Mozilla. It rules. Del.icio.us is industrial grade crack for link addicts.
Everything good from Mozilla remains in Firefox (that I've seen so far), and there's tons of new cool stuff! Since I like to beat on stuff and see what I can discover, I cannot yet extol the virtues of Firefox in their entirety... but so far...
There's a hip search box built-in next to the location box... and extensions can be added to allow it to search sites other than Google (the default)... like eBay, Yahoo, AllTheWeb, and on and on... and it's conveniently accessible with a ctrl-k (on Windows). It's worth upgrading just for that... but, wait... there's MORE!
All the cool extensions that I found useful with Mozilla... are still in the house! Woot! =) There are tons of nifty extensions... like the live HTTP headers extension, a robust "download this site" extension, and one that makes it very easy to add links to your del.icio.us home page. Dan's rating: WHOOPASS!
There are also keywords that work in the taskbar... for instance: "dict word" will do a dictionary lookup. Beyond this, typing keywords in the location bar then will immediately take one to the site that Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" button would return. Just hip, hip! tip: Download Firefox, then type "Dan Tripp" and hit return. Is Google smart or what?
Download Firefox. Do it now. I'm not kidding. It rules. I'll forgive you if you ignored me when I went off on the virtues of Mozilla... but not downloading Firefox is an unpardonable sin.
Del.icio.us is truly the link addict's dream that Andrew has described it to be. It's beyond nifty. In fact, ignore anything I have to say about it and check it out for yourself. Basically, folks can use it to keep their bookmarks (instead of having to bookmark everything multiple times if one uses multiple browsers, or on multiple machines... ie.- work/home). It's very easy to stumble across links to interesting stuff, regardless of what you're interested in.
One can also subscribe to other folks' links page... so when you run across somebody's set of links... and you think "this person and I must have been identical twins separated at birth... we totally like the same stuff" you can subscribe to their links and you'll get new links added to your Del.icio.us in box when they add them to their page. How cool is that? (Well, I don't know yet, because I just started getting into it... but it's mega-hip idea!)
Another thing that's nifty about del.icio.us is that when you add a link to your page, it shows you how many other del.icio.us users have already linked to it. You can take a look at who the other posters are, and then check out their links. It'd be tempting to try to be the first poster of links and stuff, but I like to delude myself with the notion that I do something other than look at cool stuff on the internet.
I can understand how del.icio.us could become addictive, but at least there's the possibility of discovering cool new stuff and potentially learning something. I'd rather be addicted to del.icio.us than any Sony/Verant game... or City of What-The-Hell-Happened-To-Ross?
