I picked up copies of Star Wars Battlefront and Halo 2 for the four-day stretch. I am a smart man.

Unbelievably, Halo 2 hasn't made it into the Xbox yet... I'm still diggin' Battlefront. Frankly, it's not hard to adore a game where you can repeatedly kill Jar-Jar and his brethren.

Speaking of reasons to love games:

You're fighting a mind flayer

This is a mind flayer, not to be confused with a mime fileter. This thing flays minds, and that other thing probably cuts mimes into steaks. Good riddance. Dumb mimes.

Jeff Buckley Videos

I've been watching Jeff Buckley: Live in Chicago and just sitting there enthralled... all over again.
Perhaps it's time to pick up the Special Edition Live at Sin-E with the bonus DVD.
Oh, there's a great BBC documentary on Jeff, which includes discussions with Elizabeth Fraser, Jeff's Mom, etc., etc., but I can't figure out where to order it.

If you're tired of the sedate, dull, quiet nature of Slashdot, then maybe you're up for this blog entry from a Micro$oft employee who... GET THIS... LIKES WINDOWS. Can you imagine?
Almost as humorous as that nonsense is Micro$oft's Published Protocols And Royalty-Free License where they attempt to lead one to believe that they created said protocols. Hahahahahaha!
Yes, of course they have the right to license their implementations of these protocols... but of course they didn't invent all of them. In fact, they seem to invent very little, but aquire very often. It's the Micro$oft way of fueling innovation... you don't need to invest money in research if you can buy companies that invent and create successful things.

Somebody asked me today where my photo gallery went. I took it down, or more accurately, didn't put it back up after I switched to the new hosting provider a while back. Why not put it back up? Somebody disregarded both my copyright notice and my personal rights to my own work and decided to use a photograph I had taken on their CD cover... completely without my knowledge or permission. Quite simply, I'm not going to allow that to happen again.

I heard a rumor that the Bush Campaign team is handing out full crack pipes and lighters near polling booths... apparently, they've finally acknowledged that voters would have to be high on crack to vote for Bush, and they're doing everything within their power to win.
